Now I’ve had enough..I feel bored, utterly bored because Elakiri does not function as a forum.What is a Forum.1. Meeting for discussion: a meeting to discuss matters of general interest 2. Internet discussion group: an Internet discussion group for participants with common interests .Forum is a place for discussion. Here nobody discuss anything. Elakiri is like the Parliament. Two groups and a gallery. Someone talks, his side claps for it no matter whether it is right or wrong. Other side opposes it no matter whether it is right or wrong. That side claps for it no matter whether it is right or wrong. And the Gallery watches silently no matter whether it is right or wrong.This is exactly Elakiri.com.Long back, Kingsley was conducting a so called discussion on SIRASA FM. One participant said something utterly wrong and I wanted to make a clarification. I called… He asked me “what are you going to say”. I started to say and he told me ‘ Either you agree or disagree” In another words “You vote for or against” You are not supposed to think, question. That’s why Culprits win and rule Sri Lanka. For a Culprit who deceive you, does not  have any other way. Either you are deceived or you should be silent. Since you have no chance to explain why do you say Yes or No, you don’t know whether you are right or wrong. So intelligent people tend to be silent.Then everything is easy for politicians. They do everything to make the opposition weak and become the hero.If the opposition becomes too silent you hire the opposition and run fake protests, fake strikes to entertain the gallery. Finally you emerge the hero. Your people will celebrate… This is the routine in politics everyone got used to. Everyone is habituated.It is the way of Govts, Institutions, industries,, temples,  families… even in love affairs.. Everyone talks, everyone else listens, says yes or no or be silent.This is the main reason for the continuous downfall of Sri Lanka. When we have color TV channels, India was watching  Black and White Doordarshan. They got mobile phones much later.. Internet is a great ocean of knowledge. Our generation uses it mainly for watching phonography, movies or to play games. How many of your friends use it for knowledge?... Probably none. Here we use a discussion forum also for entertainment…  No matter the topic, War, LTTE, Govt, Love, Sex, whatever the topic you are here to fight or to have fun... No discussion... but this is a discussion forum. For you it is a bottle fallen from the sky. Gods MUST be crazy.We use Elakiri for years.. wasting time, and we remain the same idiots we were or we would become worse. 2000+ posts is more than enough to understand this.. I’ve had enough.. I let you to continue with what you know best and I leave.Thank you ALL who replied my threads and who inspired me to post their threads.All the best….One last story..If I followed king, I could continue… but don’t have the political need to have a group of people to elevate me to somewhere I don’t really deserve. Except into the only well (that for the sole use of the king and queen and their prime minister) a magician throws a poison into all the other wells. The magician declares, "Whoever drinks the poisoned water will go mad." Obviously, except for the king and queen and the prime minister, the whole town goes mad. They had to drink from that well, and they all went mad. All the mad towns people are gathered around the palace shouting against the king and saying, "The king has gone mad. We don't want a mad king." The king asked his chief minister what to do. The minister must have been a wise man, not like politicians today, a man of insight, not elected by people but chosen by the wise. He said, "I will keep the crowd happy for a time. You run to the town's well and drink deeply. Drink deeply. Get drunk on it. Then come back and all will be right." The king soon returns, but entering through the front door naked, singing, dancing... singing songs of ecstasy he dances with the crowd. The king's dance convinces the crowd of his sanity. They declare him sane. They re-crown him. They rejoice.
