Not many can write to par JK.My favorite series is George.R.R.Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, It's something of an epic fantasy, but not too much magic. (but there is dark sense of magic playing a bigger role in the future books). Prophecy, Magic, War are topics fantasy writers like.
