However, at all other times helmet wearing is compulsory,” he said.“If you do not wear helmet when riding motorcycle, the Police will take legal action.“Drug menace in Batticaloa must be stopped. Stern action will be taken. Public should co-operate with police.“Do not try to bribe them. If any police officer received bribe or involved in any illegal activity, they would be punished,” he said.The meeting was also attended by Batticaloa Headquarters Police OIC Kingsley Gunasekera and Kattankudy Police Station Deputy OIC I.
