Upon inquiry, it transpired there was no such person by that name attached to the MRI.The mail also quoted an instance when "a few weeks ago in a popular cinema hall in Wellawatte, a person felt something pricking while she was seated. When she got up, she found a needle with a note attached to it saying, 'you have just been infected by HIV.'"The letter cautions people to exercise maximum vigilance when using public chairs and claims the Disease Control Centre in Colombo has recorded instances of finding used needles in cash dispensers and ATM machines.The e-mail even cited a similar example at a popular cinema in Dalugama. According to the contents, a young girl who was about to get married was pricked by a needle while watching a movie. A tag was attached to the needle that read, 'Welcome to the world of the HIV family.'
