But in gaming, the Audigy cards are superb because of EAX4.0 or even EAX5.0  (in X-Fi) support. Also, the Audigy cards use less CPU resources than an integrated APU (integrated Audigy chips use high CPU cycles as well). Drivers and various options in drivers can affect the quality too. The default settings that comes with Audigy driver could be better for you than that ones that come with Realtek or any other integrated solution. Someone else might think otherwise. Besides, most people who are into Audio prefer other brands over Creative, such as M-Audio (Revolution 7.1) (basically VIA Envy24HT chip based cards)<a href="http://www.htpcnews.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t3616.html" target="_blank">Check this out if anyone's interested.</a></blockquote>
