How SL won the cyber war against LTTE ? by Mora For the last 10+ years LTTE supporters used cyberspace effectively and always used it to convince the world that they are just innocent pussy cats fighting for the tamil rights in SL, etc. But surprisingly, in the last 3 years we saw a surge in anti-LTTE web sites and anti-LTTE cyber activists. And finally they 'won' the battle. How they did it ? who is behind that ? basically who are these key-board warriors ? There were number of anti-LTTE website and activists from the beggining. They did it in their personal capacity. All the forums were crowded with LTTErs, there was no chance for anti-ltters. Only site who did a proper and organized way of pro-SL propaganda was SPUR-Australia. Everything changed after the arrival of defence.lk, nationalsecurity.lk and army.lk. They did almost 24hr update. Frankly speaking there were lot of exaggerations, false info, etc. But they managed bring SL diaspora in to a one platform. By that time, newly established external intelligence agency, re-wamped Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI) came in to the internet(action). They took over from there. They set up number of tamil sites, blogs, proper web sites. On top of that they actively participated in forums, dialogues, etc. They managed attract large number of followers, who in return participated actively in cyberspace. They created this big buzz. This is something new in modern day anti-terror campaigns. SL did it nice way and they became the pioneers of this dirty cyber war. We have beaten them in their own game in cyberspace as well as in the battlefield.. Congrats to all the smart asses in MI, and all the key-board warriors who gave them their sincere support (unknowingly)!! ---------------- the original post was written by "Mora" in another website (cant giv links because its against the rules. So thanx Mora...u r dead right
