He has taken to the National Hospital along with his bodyguard (both succumb to their injuries) and Colombo National Hospital declared him dead by 3.50 GMT. Tamilnet article published at 3.43 GMT had a photograph of the vehicle in which the MP was inside when he was shot at. It seems that the Tamilnet reporter was well aware and prepared to report the incident as they reported in similar manner the attack to the Colombo International airport and killing of 9 members of Kuruna’s faction in a safe house at Kottawa in south of Colombo. Raviraj is the newest addition to the long list of assassinated mayors and ex mayors of Jaffna starting from Alfred Duraiyapah on 27 July 1975. So called anti-war fronts are dead silent on these murdres carried out by LTTE Tamil Terrorist.</blockquote>
