ElaKiri machan! Lets get started! First go to www.opendns.com and register Register using https://www.opendns.com/start/create_account/ After that sign in to OpenDNS.com After you sign you will be taken to the Dashboard. If you are not in the Dashboard then machan click the Dashboard on the top of the page. Now click Settings Now after that it depends on what kind of websites that you want blocked There are 6 choices you can make... You can see the choices High, Moderate, Low, Minimal, None and Custom. Go for Custom. And select all the categories that you want blocked! And if you think that there will be people bypassing the restrictions, then select the category Proxy/Anonymizer as well. Then all the 3rd party proxy sites will be blocked as well. Now Apply! You have successfully selected the categories of websites that you want to block... Go to Customization just below Content Filtering if you want to add a corporate logo in the "THIS DOMAIN IS BLOCKED WEBPAGE!"...try adding your own image :P Now the 2nd part! How the hell does OpenDNS block the websites only to me? Now you gotta change your DNS Settings! Either you can change your router DNS Settings or Windows DNS Settings! I did both! After that in the same webpage where you had the "Content Filtering" and "Customization" there is "Advanced Settings" Go to Advanced Settings and check the Dynamic IP Update checkbox. After that Download and Install this software http://www.opendns.com/download/windows/ This will constantly work in your computer and update your IP to the OpenDNS Servers. This is because i am assuming you have a Dynamic IP. This software is free and will only consume about 3MB or Less. After installing enter your OpenDNS Username and Password and you are done! Nothing for you to worry abt! All the bad domains will be blocked. And there might be a chance that one of your favorite websites is blocked. Then add it to the exclusion list. It is there in the same place where you selected what kind of websites to block. Its at the bottom. Select Never Block and type the website.
