If a player failed to score runs at the highest level (in here provincial level), he must go back to their 4 team tournament(which i mentioned at 1 ) and get back to form . No player is permanent. Because i have seen some players stop cricket after u19 level to consentrate on studies. After that they straightly sneak in to first class teams without proper performances because of their u19 school level performances which they had 4, 5 years ago.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px">That should not happen (ex: After Smaraweera retirement, he went to play for Worcetershire in English counties. At that 4 team level tournament, players are free to do their day jobs if they want to. After one batch of u19 cricket finished(one batch = one u19 WC squad), U19 selection must be ready for the next u19 world cup and selection team should be aware about upcoming talents from Age of 16 then closely monitor them. For now we should be ready for the next u19 world cup(2022) with the current 18 year olds and 19 year olds who are eligible. SLC always conduct tournaments to find bowling talents like Nuwan Pradeep who came out of nowhere.
