The best of scientific knowledge today tells us that space and time began to exist. Sound logic according to the kalam cosmological argument states that there must be a cause for this and that this cause must be supernatural. Secondly, we don't only appeal to science to prove the existence of God, but to logic as well such as the argument from free agency and argument from morality. These are arguments not touched upon by science, thus future scientific discoveries can't do anything to these arguments. Thirdly, we have to make our decisions today based on what evidence we already have and not what we might have. That is too risky. It is foolish to say "I am going to make my decision based upon what we might possibly discover in the future".Fourthly, the trend in science is actually in the theist's favor and not the atheists. With more and more discoveries like the big bang and complex matters of life, the theist has had his faith strengthened in the existence of God.
