So the patriotic people won't blame the government. e.g. They might say the civilian casualties are high and since SL is a 'Buddhist' country, they can't go ahead with the war killing innocent people. And if somebody asks, then why they did the war for so long, they will lable his as a war supporter; hence a terrorist.
