Government, has however, emphasised to the Sri Lankan government the importance..., to heal the wounds of the conflict and to foster a process of lasting peace and reconciliation...," Minister of State for External AffairPreneet Kaur said.     Replying to a written question in Lok Sabha, she said government has also called upon Sri Lanka to ensure that an independent and credible mechanism is put in place to investigate in a time-bound manner allegations of human rights violations brought out by the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) set up by their government. India has already expressed its inclination to vote in favour of the resolution. PTI</blockquote>
