Many of them were infected twice.  This is before the vaccine.If you get severe Covid, you have less immunity. It's due to the fact that the severe infection can destroy whats known as "germinal centres" within our body which are micro-structures that provide long immunity. If you get a mild disease, then your immunity can last for a while. Those who get the South African variant have better immunity against the other variants. It's really far a complex scenario to discuss simply with this damned virus.</blockquote>
