Here is my input ... First of all congratulations getting the interview. Definitely go for the interview. What ever happens, it would be a good experience for your future interviews. As someone has already mentioned, Companies are leaning towards automated testing (Can be simple tools like autoit or more code base technologies like Selenium). I don't know what is the QA process at Zone. Probably it would be good to find these information before you go for the interviews. But still most companies maintain manual testing processes as well. Even in the future, manual testing would not be 100% replaceable by automated testing. Human interaction is a must in QA process. Manual testing is not an interesting job specially if you are a logic oriented, math friendly person. But still it would be a good opportunity for you to get some experience about the SDLC. I know few people who switched from QA to Dev after sometime. But I'm not going to lie, switching tracks is a difficult thing, if you have been manual tester for a long period of time. QA track is also OK if you plan to become a project manager. While working as a QA, you can do some side studies in project management (PMP or even an MBA) and then slowly move in to project management. This is more common in the industry. After reaching a certain level in QA, you can't go anymore forward. Hope this helps ! Good luck :)
