Ii have always commented here that the SL education system was ruined by that idiot Baduddin Mohammed, who was the Education Minister during Sirimavo time. I often wonder why do we run schools. Every weekend when I see the number of children on the road when tuition classes finish, it's more or less like  a wesak procession...Why don't we close down the damned schools and rent them to tuition masters? Many parents spend huge amounts of money on tuition. Are the kids any smarter? NO.We need a whole revamp on education. It's very easy to eliminate the "Parrot" like learning and weed out the clever ones.
