When we inquired about why it is so, the outlet owner mentioned that one of the Muslim directors has insisted that all products served at the outlets should be halal and meat items to be bought from speific halal certified suppliers . Also -pork and alcohol is not being served at CCC food studio as a part of this process .  While we hadn’t given much thought to this before , we did some search on this and found that the certification price is done according to Islamic law and there is a considerable fianancial cost in it which is added to the cost of the final product . It was also found that these funds are then given to mosques by the accreditation agency Our question is why should non- Muslims consume halal food and have to pay a higher price for their Purchases just to satisfy the requirement of one religion . Over 85% of people from other religions in Sri Lanka  have to bear this even though it’s not required by our religions and by consuming these products we too are funding the mosques! Also isn’t this some form of dictatorship  by one religion to everyone else ! I, myself and many other Buddhists doesn’t eat beef, but we don’t condemn people or restaurants serving it or boycott them .  We choose not to buy halal certified food anymore and also ‘not to’ eat at halal certified restaurants . Just like people have a choice to buy and consume halal food , we should also have a choice to buy and consume ‘non-halal’ food If you agreee to this - Please share to make a voice for retailers/ restaurants to serve us non- halal products .. we too should have a ‘choice ‘Answer is very simple and straight forward! Muslims are only 9.2% of total population of SL. Out of them 80% are living on trading to 90% of other religious people. If we boycott them for one year, we can see Muslims will Reject the Wahhabism. Their priorities are business first and Wahhabism second. Please practice this since it’s the real war!!!!No weapons needed. No racism, no media campaign, silent , cool, no body can complain.. Turn 3 families and monitor how much have they pay to Muslims on every month.copied</blockquote>
