Dev-ops, Cloud/system Admin stuff, networking, Test automation, data science, UI/UX, IT security .etc are some other aspects of the IT industry. All of them are highly paid.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">If you have the will, all of the above can be learnt for free from YouTube, Coursera, Udacity .etc</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">A professional certificate (eg: Java certification, cloudera certifiction for big data, kubernetes certification .etc) is worth more than a university degree.<br /> <strong><br /> Choose 1 or 2 that you really like & stick with it. Don't chase everything. It will take few years to reach the professional levels but its worth the effort.<br /> Also be aware of new technologies.
