Why isnt time a problem? Dont be childish. If you dont have what ever you need in due time, what bloody use is in it? Sri Lanka can have all the military weapons in another 5years time, but what use is it when SL is presently experiencing an extreme war? And the railway tracks came off because there was a train fully loaded on it, did you see or hear of any railway tracks that were unoccupied at the moment of the Tsunami being damaged that heavily? The Tsunami was one of the major catastrophes that SL has ever faced so far, and did I say the fort came off during the Tsunami? My point was the opposite, it had some minor damages, but all in all it was okay. Now that building is almost 400years old, and to the strength of the Tsunami, it stood pretty well. Did the Ruwanwali saaya face any Tsunami? No, it is built in a perfect condition with the best of climates where even weathering is least likely, I doubt how much of strength it would have to face a Tsunami...... The problem is, did SL even have this peanut?? Something is better than nothing. And that was a start, and the only start ever in my opinion. 1. The UK is not the biggest donor of SL, but are extremely infulential over the donors of SL. For example the IMF, UK has a major infulence over it. 2. Why SL is relying on these are because of the dirty politicians and high rated corruption within the country, and especially the lazy attitudes of the people becasue of whome the country's productivity has gone down. If SL was able to produce on its own, increase its GDP, it wold have the power to give others. 3. Mahinda was just a current example, there were many in the history. Dont pick on silly points of yours like this just to gain your stance. Its not working OK, so your point is that SL on its own could do miracles. Tell me, how much of a progress has the country made on its own after independance? In my opinion, its stagnated, and maybe, gone down further to-date. If your point is that the development was disrupted by the warfare, then first thing, its the mistake of the politicians and the foolish community, and secondly, if the war damaged the developement, how much of a progress did SL make during the ceasefire? Was this progress so great, that it atleast managed to double the GDP of the country during those two years?
