I know most of you dislike the idea of fy maps being used for Counter Strike at the JSL GAMING TOURNAMENT 2009. This is very clear with the great number of calls and emails I received after posting the map pool.    THE REASONS FOR OUR CHOICE –     This event is a part of the Java Sri Lanka Exhibition, the tournament will be held alongside this, giving an opportunity for all the clans to show off their true colors.     After considering the number of registrations received, we decided that we should give an opportunity to many clans as possible to participate in the tournament under the limited time. Basically all tournaments use de maps for their entire map rotation but we want to do something different. Most clans are used to the traditional tournament maps though we include these very same maps in ours we would like to start the event off with a fy map just like how most CS participants started off their CS gaming careers.      Though we have given three fy maps, we won’t be using all of them during the tournament. A fy map will be used in the first around. This will be a knockout around and the winner will obviously move into the second around. We will be using de maps from there on. The map rotation for Counter Strike will be posted soon.     The venue has been reserved for a limited time from morning to late evening, the day’s events needs to be finished within this allocated time. Considering this we decided on using a smaller map which is known well among the participants so that our time objective can be met while providing many clans the opportunity to participate in the tournament.    Like I mentioned early the fy maps will only used in the first around from there on de maps will be used. If a clan is to be titled the Champion of CS and the grand winner of the cash prize they need to be skilled at all the maps and not just the traditional tournament maps thus the reason to include a sniping map.    Last but not least this event is about having fun and building the Sri Lankan gaming community, an event that will allow everyone from amateurs through intermediates to professionals to prove their worth.        Thank You      Suga    JSL GAMING TOURNAMENT ORGANISER</blockquote>
