Initially the TMVP cadres were attacked when they were passing the SLFP office in the area. Three TMVP cadres have been reported missing and three others injured. A vehicle had been dispatched to locate the missing persons, but at around 5.00 p.m. that vehicle had come under attack and set on fire.
