Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Thursday requested political parties to sink their differences and come together for the cause of the Tamils in Sri Lanka.
In a poem published in DMK mouthpiece "Murasoli", he said when the Tamils all over the world were "appreciating" the efforts taken by his government to mitigate the sufferings of Sri Lankan Tamils, why the political parties could not sink their narrow political differences and come on the same platform at least for this cause.
Karunanidhi said that Tamils across the world, through their letters to him, have expressed hope that the latest efforts of the Indian and Tamil Nadu Governments would end the sufferings of the Tamils in Sri Lanka.
