Antigenically shifted virus is identified by human body after a delay, as it has totally changed it's suerface proteins. this H1N1 sero-type has genetic materials of swine and bird influenza viruses in combination to human one. So you could figure it out that vaccines are only partially protective against influenza.</blockquote>
