OK guys finally I lapped both my CPU IHS (Effectively removing any warrenty it has, considering its less than one year old :dull:) and the HSF, the results are quite impressive, my temps dropped a whopping 10C under load, (all this using a cheap ass Silicone TIM i got for 250 bucks, mind u its not the avarage ceramic TIM..i think this one is quite good), I used : Sand papers Grit 150, 350, 1200 Little pice of glass A Razor blade (to see how flat the IHS, HSF surface and to spread the TIM) what i noticed is the IHS of my cpu is curved, the edges are higher than the center of the IHS, so I lapped and made it perfectly flat, and did the same to the HSF, applied a thin layer of TIM, and violah its done, all took me about three hours Yesterday when i checked using prime during mid day, the Ambient temp was 35 and after half an hour T-junction went to a damn hot 78C, but after lapping with even higher Ambient temp to day the temps are 67-68C Lap away guys lol..it really makes a lot of difference
