This is very difficult question to answer. My parents had the opportunity to stay with me here in Australia around 1993/94. During those good old days, it's not really difficult to get PR as long as applicants come here on a valid visa. Instead, they insist us to go back to S/L because they were really worry about our busy lifestyle. We both had good jobs in S/L and had a house, a car, a motorcycle, and most importantly lots of freedom too. But here in OZ, we both work full time, (my wife works daytime, and I work in afternoon) kids in kinder/daycare, weekends also busy with shopping/cleaning/gardening/parties etc etc, and there is no such thing as FREE TIME. Un/Fortunately my parents prefer to live in Sri lanka and come here for a visit whenever possible. It's their choice and they are lot more happier back home than here in OZ. Both my parents are very sociable, but they were not in a position to adopt in to oz society at an age of late 50s or early 60s. Now my father no more, mother in her eighties, I am still in OZ. I do not regret about the decisions me/my family and my parents taken regarding where we should live comfortably and happily.
