Muslims like me fight that everyday at mosques and in gatherings to try and change peoples thinking....I also have to show you a way of Muslims thinking....we Muslims believe in heaven and hell...if someone does wrong in earth they will go to hell..including Muslims....but God also rewards people to struggle and suffer on earth because they are patient on earth....So if someone does wrong...like stealing....then if the person wants to stop going to hell for that sin they can have many options they can ask forgiveness from God....pay "blood money"....they an also feed the poor......but some people want to show God how much they love him and not go to hell...by agreeing to have their hands cut as a redemption....but the bad curropted regimes that have taken over Islam...force these rules to "punish" these peoples....which is not allowed....these kinds of savage punishmnets must be requested by the victims or the person who did the crime...not the government or the judge....<img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/no.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":no:" title="No    :no:" data-shortname=":no:" />these laws may seem savage to you...but they are used to stop others from doing wrong by scaring them (remind they will suffer in hell by showing savage punishment on earth)....and to help these people feel less guilty and to give the victims also some relief....If someone rapes one of your family member....they will suffer for life....but according to sri lankan laws...the raper will only go to prison for a while and be free to rape again?...what if we scare them with Islamic laws?.....not by forcing (but victims can ask for them)...but by showing it can happen?....</blockquote>
