Dubbed GGW-H10N, the drive will be able not only to read both Blu-ray and HD DVD discs, but also to record 50GB dual-layer Blu-ray discs.The upcoming drive will be quite speedy, too: the press release says it will burn single-layer (25GB) Blu-ray media at 4X, cutting write time for a whole disc to just 23 to 24 minutes—roughly half the time required by current 2X Blu-ray burners. Along with high-definition formats, the GGW-H10N will be able to read DVDs and CDs and record CDs, as well. Users will be able to get their hands on the drive some time this quarter, although they'll have to pay "under US $1,200" for the privilege.</blockquote>
