Colombo Chief Magistrate Sarojini Kusala Weerawardena fined the suspect Rs. 500 on each charge and ordered two weeks imprisonment in default for two charges, smoking in a public place and committing contempt of court.The Minister of Health says that the tobacco and alcohol companies are pressing the government to relax the tough laws against liquor and smoking but the government is not afraid to take any measure for the well being of public.</blockquote>
