Dhoni got engaged to his long time girlfriends Sakshi Singh Rawat on Saturday evening at Bhagirathi Resorts in Dehradun and than marriage was solemnized at Vishrant Resorts, 20 km away from Dehradun. Dhoni marriage was attended by some of the cricketers like RP Singh, Ashish Nehra, Piyush Chawla. Yuvraj Singh wished Dhoni on Twitter. Sachin Tendulkar wished him on marriage through phone. Some of the retired cricketers like Kapil Dev, Chetan Chauhan, Anshuman Gaikwad also wished Dhoni on his marriage. BCCI President Shashank Manohar also graced Dhoni wedding function.Dhoni wedding guest list included family of the bride and the groom, their close relatives and friends and some of the friends of captain, Indian cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni from the cricket team. Also seen at the wedding were some film stars close to the skipper and politicians. Cricketer Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra were present along with film star John Abraham, politician and former Rajasthan Chief Minister, Vasundhra Raje Scindia. Dhoni wedding venue, Vishrant Resorts, situated at the outskirts of Dehradun was cordoned by a three layer police security. DJ Kingsey was incharge of the music at the ceremony and informed, “Guess have demanded light English and Hindi music at the party.”Many film stars congratulated Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Twitter. The Twitter post of John Abraham read, “In Dehradun for Dhoni’s marriage. All the best to the couple.” The Twitter post of Bipasha Basu read, “Congratulations in order to Mahi and Sakshi, wishing them marital bliss forever.”  Sakhi Rawat, 23 year old hotel management graduate from Aurangabad is Dhoni’s childhood friend and both used to go to the same school in Ranchi. Their fathers were collegues in MECON and after the retirement of the father of Sakhi Singh Rawat, the family had shifted to Dehradun. It is also learnt that both the families basically hailed from Uttranchal. The list of girl friends of Dhoni though was not very long to the likes of Yuvraj Singh, but definitely was impressive. It included film stars like Deepika Padukone, with whom the cricketer has even walked the ramp and Asin of Ghajini fame.
