Their wish is to give you spiritual help in order to make your mind pure which is useful for the realization of Nibbana: the unbounded liberation. They have already established over 25 branch monasteries to give you a more space to practice spiritual life. In this purpose, there are thousands of people who have joined with them to practice this joyful spiritual life together. My good friend Tissa W, of Toronto told me about this Asapuwa and send me info by email. I got a well deserved holiday yesterday and I want it to put to good use. So, I drove all The way to 11175 Kennedy Road North, Markham, Ontario. Here in <a href="http://www.cbc.ca/news/" target="_blank">Canada</a>. It is situated far from the maddening traffic and the crowd in a hilly location that easy to find. I took the Hiway 401 to Hiway 404 North and exit at Elgin Mills Road going east till I arrived at Kennedy St and made a left turn there which is going North. Its about a few minutes drive from there. It was a raining all the way there and sky was gloomy. This Asapuwa was established on June 08th 2008 at a temporary location in Toronto by the Venerable Kiribathgoda Gnananda Thero. Recently they moved to this new location in Makham. There are two very young monks who maintain and perform the duties of the Mahamevna Asapuwa activities. One of them took the time to give both of us brief sermon. I was informed that on Sundays at 5PM there is a Sinhalese Dharma Desana.   On Tuesdays at 7PM there is a Meditation session. Thursdays at 7PM there is a Sinhalese Dharma Desana. On Fridays from 7.00 to 9.00 PM Dhamma Talk in English Also there is a Ata Sil Program once a month. Please call 905-927-7117 and please leave a message as the monks do not answere the phones.  I was surprised when I learned that at  the Asapuwa  there are no  TVs, Internet or a Vehicle.  Please visit this newly established Asapuwa and assist them in any way you can if you live in Canada or visit here.
