For those who are more interested, please read the book "Era Handa Nathi Rata" by Arisen Ahubudu. Arisen ahubudu researches history through the language, and the evidence he has found suggests of a much older blood line of kings, than Vijaya. His list of early rulers, starts with "Maha sammatha Manu", who was the ruler 30000 years ago.My opinion:Yes, we have a history. It's much older than Vijaya, We were here long before Vijaya came. We are not related to the lion. Mostly I believe we are 'Yakku'. Although Arisen Ahubudu, says that there were four different groups of people in  SL at the time.</blockquote>
