But you can take a ferry ride from Penang. Fast Ferry ride takes about 3 hours.There's a nice cable car ride to the sky bridge. A lot of water sports activities (can hire Jetski), para sailing, some adventure sports etc. A lot of cheap accommodations available. Check the internet for special deals. We got a special deal for four nights from Datai Langkawi - more than 70% off, they even gave us a car to travel around. Liquor is very cheap - the entire island is duty-free but not allowed to take back into SIN.Nice place for a quiet holiday.</blockquote>
