But now there is no considerable LTTE presence in the area. And  major part of the tamil hindu population are living in refugee camps or have displaced toward other regions..The vast land of cultivation have been abandoned by tamil farmers are now grabed by muslims..(or the rich "thambi mudalalis " give a little money to poor tamils or sinhalese and buy the terrain from them)so what do the muslims..The illegal occupation of abandoned paddy fields and with the support of local muslim politicians they get also funds to construt the houses in those new lands. As the muslim families have many members ( normaly abt 3 to 5 childs in a  rural muslim family) they are very intersted on land... when they can they grab it...what is happaning in the rest of country..shamelesly they have built a "racialy based" political party...The muslim congress.(SLMC)(.Like the tamil racists formed the Federal party a time ago..)so what is repeating now.the same racist cycle which gave birth to tamil eelamism...and the same thing happaned in Chittagong in years 1980-1986..About 70 000  of buddhist people were forced to abandon their native villages behalf of islamist violence....regards</blockquote>
