When console operator scan the bar code it come up on the screen and say disable the anti theft device. So they disable it either through the computer, or a special scan pad which they rub this thing. These things triggers the alarms all the time, usually shop workers come and find this thing and give it a rub on that pad and apologise for the mistake. After that rubbing it wont trigger the alarms anymore.</blockquote>
