There are self serve and full serve service stations. It depends on the State. I have to always get into the Kiosk and pay for fuel as overseas credit cards are not accepted at the pump.Then I fill in the fuel or an attendant fill it for me. Once I remember the guy said only he is authorised by law to fill in Petrol and I am not allowed. So obviously the rules change from one State to another. But most stations are self-serve.</blockquote>
