Message: <blockquote data-quote="netlife007" data-source="post: 14261283" data-attributes="member: 79514"><a href="http://www.colombopage.com/archive_12B/Jan13_1358016179CH.php" target="_blank">http://www.colombopage.com/archive_12B/Jan13_1358016179CH.php</a> Jan 12, Kelaniya: The members of Sri Lanka's  Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha, who are against the former Kelaniya electoral  organizer and Minister of Public Relations Mervin Silva, say they still  fear for their lives from the Minister.  Addressing a press conference today, Chairman of the Kelaniya Pradeshiya  Sabha, Prasanna Ranaweera has said that the suspects arrested for  killing their colleague Hasith Madawala have confessed to accepting a  Rs. 3.5 million contract from Minister Silva to assassinate several PS  members.  The rebel councilors have said that the assailants have confessed that  the Minister Mervyn Silva had contracted them to assassinate the entire  team of members of the local council who were against him.  Although the Minister has resigned from the post of Kelaniya electoral  organizer, he is still a threat to their lives, the Chairman has said,  urging the government to provide more security to all the members of the  who were threatened by the Minister for rising against him.  The councilors allege that the Minister who had to resign from the post has commenced a programme to gain the position back.  Vice Chairman of the Kelaniya local Pradeshiya Sabha, Chamil Duminda  said at the press briefing that the Minister has commenced to collect  signatures for a petition asking to re-appoint him as the electoral  organizer to Kelaniya.  Ranaweera said at the press conference that removing the Minister from  the electorate organizer post alone is not sufficient. He urged the Sri  Lanka Freedom Party members of Kelaniya electorate would request the  party hierarchy to appoint a good organizer for Kelaniya electorate..</blockquote>
