During the British imperial regimes they ruled these countries on 'divide & rule' policy. so they ethnically & religiously </p><p>classified people and treated one better than the others causing tensions. Thats how these wars started. However, these wars were gonna end at some point, but the Western governments led by British & parially </p><p>Americans pressured them into ceasefires, which prolonged this conflict further and further. in 2005 the conflict officially started again & is ongoing. upto now around 4 million ppl killed and millions r desplaced. </p><p></p><p>You might wonder why I'm talking about Dafur. Well, because I heard from my sources that there is an election in Sri Lanka, a provincial one. This is not a normal election like in the past, its a decisive one and could be a turning point because the ultimate result of election will show</p><p>whether the people of Sri Lanka are for or against the government's actions. As you already know Human Rights, freedom and democracy are the world's most dangerous words. Most of the countries were attacked by Western powers using </p><p>these three words or just either of them. If somehow the government manages to win, the chance of outsiders pressurizing the government into a ceasefire will be far less since no one can overpower the mandate given by people. I 'm glad the </p><p>way people responded in the previous election and I hope people will do the same for this election. Even though I was born and raised in a Western country I hate most Western countries' (G20) policy on the world issues </p><p>Their only motive is making profits and creating opportunities to fuel their massive economies, which are hard to sustain otherwise. Best example is Iraq where after overthrowing rigid regime of Saddam, the oil reserves are finally open for Western companies to bid. </p><p>Its officially on the newspapers now. So I spite these politics that plants hatred and distress. </p><p></p><p>So anyway Sri Lankans need to understand the world & the state Sri Lanka is in. Its people who decide whether the war ends in next few weeks. The need to collaborate now more than ever to support this government, which is the only government capable of doing this war. </p><p>They need to show the world & UN that people accept what this government does for the country. By the way opposition party is doing a pretty good job tarnishing the image of Sri Lanka. They are trying to </p><p>discourage Australia from doing trade with Sri Lanka so there will be an impact on economy.If people mess this important turning point, they have to be ready to live with bombings for another 30 yrs or even more. </p><p></p><p>SO GUYZ DO PROPAGANDA OR WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THIS SITUATION.
