As I understood there was no much  difference in Bcom & Mgt in subjects/knowledge. Most of the subjects  in the initial years were the same in all courses. Those days we had  the chance to specialize in some area like Accounting, Marketing etc in  the final year. Don't know how it goes now. By the way in the job  market, you can get hardly any preference just because you have a mgt  degree. In most interviews having a (any) degree would be the initial  selection criteria. For instance, after the degree, you might become a  management trainee in a bank along with another graduate in agriculture.  Your career path will not be decided by the first degree you have but  it is very likely to be decided by the professional qualification you  have. I have been to many job interviews in my life but I have never  been asked to describe what type of a degree I have. Most interviewers  were interested to know my professional qualifications & experience.  I work as a finance manager in a blue chip company simply because I am a  Chartered Accountant otherwise I cant even imagine where I would have  been. Therefore if your aim includes doing a good job also, then  whatever the hell degree you are doing, dont forget to start studying  for some professional qualification in a field you like, not to mention  the English & Computer knowledge.</p></blockquote><p></p>
