Either way it's clear that LTTE wanted Mahinda in power, but why? My best guess would be that Mahinda's hard line stance can be easily used in LTTE propaganda to gain support for them. I really think that the LTTE's main objective in all of this is to "legitimize" them selves in the eyes of the International Community. If Mahinda has nothing to hide (in the sense that he is in power to help people not make money) which is a real possibility considering that there are liars all over the news media today, then yes lets see what happens next.
