Message: <blockquote data-quote="pga" data-source="post: 25039698" data-attributes="member: 6180">National People’s Power (NPP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake said today the CID should search Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa’s residence if it was keen to locate former minister Rajitha Senaratne.He told a news conference that the CID’s failure to arrest Mr. Senaratne proved that the government was having a hand in this matter.“We feel sorry for the CID which is unable to locate Rajitha. I think they should first search the Prime Minister’s residence. There is a travel ban on Rajitha. CID should be able to trace Rajitha’s whereabouts - if not, it means the government is in some way involved in this matter,’ he said.When asked about Opposition’s claims that there was a political witch-hunt against opposition MPs Mr. Dissanayake said it is sure that there was politics involved in this rather than a political witch-hunt.“Some politicians like ministers and state ministers are suddenly released from cases while some others are suddenly arrested. Cases of some others put off for several years.
