The report has further affirmed that the girl remains clinically free of any Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) and there are no fresh or healed injuries or tears on her body. Army sources said a string of website media reports, many of them originated from Sri Lanka with different hidden agendas and vested interests, tried to couple the alleged incident of the girl with the death of the Tamil civilian, Rasaiah Nimalesh of G.S.O. Road, Mawadivembo in a schematic and subtle manner, to tarnish and ridicule the Sri Lanka Army image and bring disrepute to the country. Some reports also said furious civilians stormed local army installations All those national and international websites which published concocted elaborate accusations with no basis regarding the corpse, found floating in the Mailavattuvan river have been now proved completely wrong, baseless and grossly malicious as both Medical Officers have certified otherwise.</blockquote>
