This is a special clamp multimeter. The primary use of the clamp meter is to measure the current, without breaking the circuit. It works using the principle of induction. This is more for industrial use. Usually the clamp testers are less accurate than the standard DMM for low values measurements. But nowadays these do have reasonably good resolution. Also there are a number of Models of DMMs that can have a clamp attachment as an extra. You decide on what you use it for.</p></blockquote><p></p>
