Hameed, the Secretary General of the ACMC. “At a time when there are mosques and madrasas being sporadically  attacked in the country in a systematic manner, the move by the CID to  collect the details is regrettable,” he said. Hameed added that polarisation between communities through moves such  as this one is counter-productive to the reconciliation process in  place in the island. An official request by the CID yesterday for a complete list of  mosques as madrasas – religious schools – prompted a backlash from the  Muslim community, including some senior government figures such as  Minister A.H.M.
