The acquisition gave Geely 100 percent ownership of Volvo and its related assets. This is the biggest overseas acquisition by a Chinese automaker. GEELY also owns the Australian Automatic Transmission Manufacturer Drivetrain Systems International, a.k.a. DSI. DSI Manufactures automatic transmission units and sells to major companies, and is the world’s only independent enterprise manufacturing transmission units which does not manufacture vehicles.
