So getting a unit made for our market (usually coming from asian countries) can be better. But as phones used while travelling to countries, all phones might have these coatings.But anyway main reason that phones are made in different parts of the globe is to reduce shipping cost.I can also remember some minor fault in Nokia N95's of some batch of Finland plant. So chinese and other plants didnt have this problem.
