According to my knowledge there are no studies have been done which shows that homosexuality is caused by someone's past experiences or social facts,specially for men. yes i believe that women are more into their own species  when you compare them with men.let's go with your statement that "encouraging homosexuality causes damages to society." i have never seen anywhere that homosexuality is forced upon someone except in prisons. But if you are born with it, forcing it down can course serious mental illnesses like depression. what's why we have to let them be who they are. i don't see it as an encouragement.
