THEY DO !! see, this is where i get confused! with all the equal rights they have, they (when i say "they" i  merely mean LTTE) still need "rights" and "liberation" ..arnt u confused?? from my and many other million sri lankans (including Tamils) point of view, all they need is a piece of land! and what u call that, "Greed" ..werent tamil people living with sinhalese back in the days in nothern peninsula, they WERE and in some parts, they still DO! so whats this all about??? its nothing but a continuation of a smooth conspiracy made by tamilnadu politicians back in 1950's...they wanted to adjoin nothern peninsula to tamilnadu so they've nourished those jobless tamil youths with weapons and enough rasicm..and thats how this all started...so what u call that?? "RAsicm" and "Selfishness" .. nothing to do with the "Rights"...these are the facts and they are real...trust me mate, i could be the biggest "Anti war" person..like most people i like to see an end of the war...BUT, that is only by war..it has been proved that this war cannot be ended by peace talks..LTTE has to be ended by war..and YES, as a normal human being i cheer when our forces succeed..MAte, i have tamil friends..and i DO NOT hate tamils as a race, but i hate LTTE as i used to hate JVP back in the days (when they killed my uncle for openning his shop when there was a "JVP curfew).. see, hating JVP dosent mean i hate sinhalese, isnt it? ...sorry if i confused u... My tamil friends want the war to finish as well..and guess what, they DO NOT believe in seperate land and they know as a fact that LTTE can never have their own government..trust me, i know people who used to be EX-LTTE carders..and i know their stories as well..and that is why i am so adament that this war has to be ended by war..one more question, do the African people in USA fight for their own piece of land, does the massive chinese population in Australia fight for their own rights, land etc..??? think about it..On a final note brother....yes, i wish if i could join the armed forces.. but unfortunately i cant..thats has not chosen by me, but chosen by my father who currently serves in SLA - Gemunu regiment to be precise..as a matter of fact he was involved in liberating Muhamalai...sorry i cant mention names but trust me when i say that..and guess why my family's overseas..Anyways..thats my 20cent worth of reply to u...sorry about the looonngggg response..</blockquote>
