Muslims may claim that onlythe twelfth Imam, a religious leader who is asupposed descendant of Mohammed, maydeclare a "holy war," but with so manywarring factions disrupting peace andraining terror in the world, to the observer, itlooks like any influential upstart among them may gain a loyal following of suicidalradicals. Numerous citations from the Korancould be given to show that the source fromwhich Islam grows authorizes violence evento the point of taking life. Mohammedwrote, "And kill them wherever you findthem, and drive them out from wherethey drove you out, and persecution isworse than slaughter. And fight not withthem at the Sacred Mosque until theyfight you (in it), slay them. Such is therecompense of the disbelievers" (Surah2:191; cf. e.g. 2:190-193; 8:39, 61-62; 9:5;22:39-40).Consider their god, Allah. The late AndrewM. Connally, who labored among theMuslims in Africa for many years, oncedescribed how the Koran presents Allah,"On the whole Allah is represented as amagnificent, opulent, irresistible worldpotentate-an Arab Sheikh (sic) glorifiedand magnified to cosmic proportions." 1 ". . .Allah both guides and misguides,both punishes and forgives, according tohis own inscrutable (sic), unquestionablegood pleasure (3:124; 5:43; 6:39, 125;13:27; 14:4; 17:9; etc.)." 2 Consider their view of man. Although theIslamic creed states, "Allah is one," theKoran says, "We created you from dust."Then the progression given is "then from asmall life-germ, then from a dot, thenfrom a lump of flesh" (Surah 22:5). Afootnote in the Koran says, "The Muslimsdo not accept that man was created sixthousand years ago. The Imamiyyahaccept the tradition that Allah createdthirty Adams before our father Adam,and one Shi'ah Imam has gone so far asto say that hundreds of thousands ofAdams were created before our Adam(RM). Nor do the Muslims accept thatour world is the only world in thisuniverse; one Imam is reported as sayingthat in God's universe there are twelvethousand systems each bigger than oursolar system (RM)." 3 The weakness of Islam from thisinfinitesimally small sampling shows it tobe "a gospel of a different kind" that isbringing trouble to the whole world.Without question the Holy Bible decriesIslam as standing accursed from God.Mohammed never should have rejected thecounsel of God against himself, as did thePharisees and lawyers of the Jews therebybringing upon him and his followers theanathema of the living God (Luke 7:30).</blockquote>
