The suspect Duncan de Saram was arrested by Kollupitiya police after  inspecting his suspicious behaviour on the roadsides. The Kollupitiya  police informed court that they were able to recover 15 pornographic  video clips on the suspect’s mobile phone. Police further told court that mobile phone pornography falls under  section 2 of the Obscene Publications Act No 22 of 1983 and as such the  suspect had committed a punishable offence. Having taking into consideration the nature of the offence, the Acting  Magistrate ordered that the suspect be released on a Rs.100,000 surety  bail. DM</blockquote>
