This is not chance but an inevitable outcome.How successful he will be, no one, not even Anura can say.But here are some hints of how anura will behave.<ol> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">Anura made JVP the richest party in Sri Lanka (while Ranil, who is often touted as an economic whizz made UNP bankrupted and was bailed out in hte last moment thanks to Mahinda)</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">Anura has managed to relatively stay away from corruption and controversy which makes it difficult for opposition politicians to attack him personally..</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">He has developed a massive diaspora funded network, which funds he is unleashing at this elections to make it the most successful campaign ever in the country's history.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">He has developed a network for public servants (both working and retired) who are now actually acting as a shadow government for Anura - this has made the current government difficult to manipulate elections, despite trying every trick in the book and outside the book to castle Anura,</li> </ol>Considering all evidence above - I would say Anura is a very seasoned shrewd politician with necessary cunningness and competency to handle the massive amount of problems he will have to face shorty after he become the president, esp at economic front.</blockquote>
