Yes i agree apple is good for the dudes who only want to upload a photo to facebook and chat who are willing to throw their $$$ away. but ppl who value their freedom and want their OS fully customized, ios just aint enough. i seriously used to refute apple's principles on money making where they charge for virtually everything from the users. even connecting to another device. without cydia and jailbraking apple would be nothing.
